Flip cards are so much fun and so easy to create with the new Stampin’ Up! Thinlits Dies!!  I made a quick birthday card using the Circle Card Thinlits Dies and the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  You can see the two new Thinlits Die sets in my online store by clicking here or by clicking on the Thinlits icon on the right side of the screen.

My card design was inspired by the Fab Friday 23 Sketch and the colors were inspired by Dynamic Duos #64.

I started by running a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock through my Big Shot with the Circle Card Thinlits Die.  Then I cut two pieces of the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP with the Circle Card Thinlits Die and I adhered them to the Daffodil Delight die cut with SNAIL.  I added a strip of Delicate Details Lace tape to the left side of the card, then folded the flip card in a Z-fold.

I punched a 2-1/2″ Circle and adhered it to the circle die cut on the Daffodil Delight card stock (if you had the die cut flat, this would be the back side of the paper).  I stamped the flower images from the Mixed Bunch stamp set in VersaMark ink on Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight panels, sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I punched the flowers out with the Blossom Punch and the flower center with the 3/4″ Circle Punch.  I slightly curled the petals up and adhered the flowers and the center together then onto the Whisper White circle with SNAIL.  Then I added a large rhinestone to the center of the flower.

Next, I stamped the butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Daffodil Delight panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed it, punched it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and adhered the left wing to the flower with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the smaller butterfly image in Daffodil Delight ink on a Shimmery White card stock panel (it’s a little hard to see it in the photo), punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and adhered it over the larger butterfly with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Wetlands stamp set in Strawberry Slush ink on a Shimmery White panel and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch.  I adhered the sentiment with SNAIL to a Circle Card Thinlit die cut from Strawberry Slush card stock, then adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added another Whisper White circle under the decorated circle so that I’d have a little space to write a note to the recipient.  And that was it!  Quick and easy.
