White on White Peaceful Petals Sneak Peek & 2014 Occasions Catalog Shares – Stampin’ Up!

Today I’m sharing a card that is the exact opposite of my card from yesterday, this one is white on white embossing.  I used the Peaceful Petals stamp set from the upcoming 2014 Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up! to create my card.

My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #94 and The Paper Players #176.

Peaceful Petals - Stamp With Amy K

I started by stamping the images from the Peaceful Petals stamp set (available Jan 3) in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I heat embossed the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered the stamped panel to a Whisper White card base.

I repeated the same embossing process on the longer background strip using another image from the Peaceful Petals stamp set and I layered it over a strip of Whisper White card stock.  I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration Item – avaialable Jan 28-Mar 31), adhered it to a Whisper White panel, then to the card front.

I wrapped a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape (available Jan 3) around a thin strip of Whisper White card stock, then adhered it to a Whisper White panel and to the card front with SNAIL.

I finished the card front by stamping the Peaceful Petals image on White Vellum and heat embossing it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I cut it out with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot under the center.  Then I added a group of small Pearl Basic Jewels over the Glue Dot.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the Peaceful Petals images in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel and heat embossing them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I’m sorry about the bad picture, for some reason my camera was having a terrible time focusing on the white-on-white panel.

The complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, to create the project is at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Beautiful, Amy! I love the look of the white-on-white embossing, especially in the background! Beautiful layering too…So glad you shared this with us at The Paper Players! Happy Holidays!

  2. Great job not only combining challenges but showing off new products, Amy! The embossed background layers are so pretty, and the vellum flower is the icing on the cake. Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge this week at The Paper Players!
