Two Very Merry Tags & A New Photopolymer Stamp Set From Stampin’ Up!

Happy Friday!!  I created a wine tag and gift box to share with you today using the Very Merry Tags stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  The wine tag and box were both quick and simple.

Very Merry Tags - Stamp With Amy K

I created a quick photo tutorial for the base wine tag and you can see it by clicking here.

Very Merry Tags 1 - Stamp With Amy K

The Top Note striped die cut and the Cherry Cobbler Window Frame die cut are both from the Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Book.  I layered a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock in between that I’d cut with a Window Frames Collection Framelit and embossed with the Argyle Embossing Folder.  I also used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the Cherry Cobbler tag.

Very Merry Tags 2 - Stamp With Amy K

The image from the Very Merry Tags stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped on Whisper White card stock then punched out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.  I adhered the image to the layered tags with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel that I’d colored with a red Sharpie Marker for his nose.

Very Merry Tags 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used one of the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes and one of the Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags to add a little decoration to the box.  I simply cut the tag down to 1-1/2″ strips and adhered them to the sides of the box with SNAIL.  The Cherry Cobbler 1″ Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon hides the seam in the tag when the acetate sleeve/box lid is in place.

Very Merry Tags 3 - Stamp WIth Amy K

To create the layered ribbon, I simply ran my SNAIL down a strip of Old Olive 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and I adhered it over the Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  I adhered the ribbon to the box lid with Sticky Strip and I adhered both bows with Glue Dots.

The detailed list of items that I used to create the tag and box set is at the very bottom of the post.

Merry Little Christmas With Chalk Talk Framelit – Stampin’ Up!

It’s Friday so Sandi MacIver and I have both created cards using the Merry Little Christmas stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to share with you today.  So make sure that you head over to her blog to see her fabulous card after you peek at mine!

My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 318 Sketch.

Merry Little Christmas

I started by embossing a panel of Old Olive Textured Card Stock with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to a Crumb Cake card base.  And I added a banner cut from the Season of Style DSP.

Merry Little Christmas 2

I colored the sentiment from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Whisper White panel, then cut it out with the Chalk Talk Framelit.  I trimmed it down with my Stampin’ Trimmer (easy to do since the tag edges are straight) and adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler Chalk Talk Framelit die cut.  I stamped the ornament image from the Very Merry Tags (wood mount and clear mount) in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler, punched them out with the matching Mosaic Punch and popped the Old Olive ornament up on a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Merry Little Christmas 1

The bow was tied from Cherry Cobbler 1″ Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon (which is one of the Weekly Deals this week on sale for 25% off!!) and adhered with a Glue Dot over the top of the tag.  Then I added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment (adhered with a Glue Dot) and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete the card front.

Petite Pairs

The Whisper White panel inside the card was stamped with the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Crumb Cake ink and the ornament images in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler inks.

The detailed list of items that I used to create this card is at the very bottom of the post.

Now that you’ve seen my Merry Little Christmas project, head over to Sandi’s blog by clicking here to see her fabulous creation.

My card design today was inspired by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #138 Sketch.  I used the Very Merry Tags and the Mosaic Punch from Stampin’ Up! to create my card.  Hope that you’ll head over to the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog and join us this week!

Very Merry Tags

I started by embossing a Basic Black panel with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.  Then I embossed a panel of the Gold Foil Sheets with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and I adhered it to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to the mosaic embossed panel with SNAIL.  I wrapped a piece of Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around the layered panel and adhered it with SNAIL, then tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot in the center and a little SNAIL on the ends to hold the long strings.

Very Merry Tags 1

Next, I stamped the Very Merry Tags image in VersaMark ink on Basic Black card stock.  I sprinkled the images with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed them and punched them out with the Mosaic Punch.  I adhered the embossed punches with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a rhinestone to the center of each one.  To finish the card front, I stamped the sentiment from the Embellished Events stamp set in VersaMark ink on Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I punched the sentiment out with the Word Window Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a Modern Label Punch from Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Petite Pairs

To finish the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered a strip of Gold Foil Sheet embossed with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder to a strip of Basic Black card stock then to the Whisper White panel.

Envelope Punch Board Money Holder Tutorial & New Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit

After making the long narrow card that I shared with you yesterday, the idea to create a money holder card using the Envelope Punch Board popped into my head.  I created a holiday and a birthday version and I’m sharing a quick tutorial showing you the size and scoring points.  I’m putting this out on my Tutorials page as well so that you can find it back quickly when you need it.

My holiday money holder card front was inspired by Retrosketches #82 and I used the Very Merry Tags and Wishing You stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create it.

Very Merry Tags

I used the Make a Wish and Sassy Salutations stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create the birthday version of the card.

Make a Wish

I’ll start by showing you the quick tutorial for the card base.  Both versions use the same card stock size and measurements for the base.

Money Holder Tutorial

Cut a 8-1/4″ x 7″ card stock panel.  Score the panel at 3″ and 6″.

Money Holder Tutorial 1

Turn the card stock 90 degrees and place the end with the score line closest to it into the Envelope Punch Board.  Line up the left side of the card stock with the 3-1/2″ line and punch.

Money Holder Tutorial 2

Money Holder Tutorial 3

Line up the bottom of the punch “v” notch with the cutting point on your trimmer and cut the card stock from the edge to the notch on one side.

Money Holder Tutorial 4

This is what your card stock should look like after you’ve cut it.

Money Holder Tutorial 6

Flip your card stock over and fold the notched flap toward the center and the top flap toward the center.  Adhere the sides of your pocket with a piece of Sticky Strip on each side.  Then decorate as you wish!  Just an FYI, the white card stock inside the pocket is not adhered on my card, I put it inside so that you could see the pocket better in the picture.

Money Holder Tutorial 5

To decorate the front of the holiday card, I cut a panel of Season of Style DSP  lengthwise 1″ from the edge.  I used blue painters tape and I taped the two panels together at the distance that I wanted, then taped the Circles Collection Framelits die to the DSP panels and I ran it through the Big Shot.  I left everything taped together and I applied SNAIL to the back of the DSP and I adhered both panels to the card front at the same time to help me with the spacing.  Once the panels were adhered, I removed the Framelit and painters tape.

Very Merry Tags 1

I colored the image from the Very Merry Tags stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I punched the image out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Very Merry Tags 4

I adhered a Neutrals Designer Button  with a Glue Dot after tying a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine through it to the other side.

Wishing You

I stamped the sentiment from the Wishing You stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch, adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler Extra Large Oval Punch with SNAIL, then adhered it to the inside of the card with SNAIL.  I stamped the other part of the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on the card base, then I adhered a strip of the Season of Style DSP with SNAIL to complete it.

Very Merry Tags

I also made an envelope with the instructions from the Envelope Punch Board for a 3″ x 7″ card from the Season of Style DSP.

Stampin’ Up! products used to create this card and envelope:

Stamps:  Wishing You (131748 wood, 131751 clear); Very Merry Tags (130393 wood, 130402 clear)

Dies & Punches:  Circles Collection Framelits Dies (130911); 1-3/4″ Circle Punch (119850); Scallop Oval Punch (119856); Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859)

Embellishments:  Neutrals Designer Buttons (130031); Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (123125)

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad (126969); Cherry Cobbler (119681) & Crumb Cake (120967) Stampin’ Write Markers

Tools:  Envelope Punch Board (133774); Blue Painters Tape

Card Stock  & Cuts:  Crumb Cake (120953) - 7″ x 8-1/4″ card base scored at 3″ & 6″; Whisper White (100730) – 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, Scallop Oval Punch; Cherry Cobbler (119685) – Extra-Large Oval Punch; Season of Style Designer Series Paper (132340) – 2-5/8″ x 6-3/4″ panel cut at 1″,  1/2″ x 7″ strip inside card, 8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ panel for envelope

Adhesive:  SNAIL Adhesive (104332); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Sticky Strip (104294)

Make a Wish

I started the birthday money holder by coloring the sentiment from the Make a Wish stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamping it on a Crisp Cantaloupe panel.  I scored the panel with my Simply Scored Diagonal Plate every 1″.  Then I scored the panel a second time at the 1/4″ marks (1-1/4″, 2-1/4″, 3-1/4″ etc).  I adhered the stamped panel to Bermuda Bay card base with SNAIL.

Make a Wish 1

I adhered a panel of Birthday Basics DSP to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Make a Wish 2

I punched chevrons using the Chevron Border Punch from Summer Starfruit, Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple and Basic Bray card stock and I adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  I finished the card front by adding a rhinestone to each of the chevrons.

Sassy Salutations

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkling it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing it, then adhering a strip of the Birthday Basics DSP with SNAIL.  ***Note, I stamped and embossed the panel before I adhered the sides closed so that I wouldn’t get embossing powder inside the pocket.

Make a Wish

I made an envelope for the card with the Envelope Punch Board and I added a strip of Birthday Basics DSP and a 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch from Raspberry Ripple card stock using SNAIL to adhere them and an In Color Boutique Details using a Glue Dot to adhere it.

Stampin’ Up! products used to create this card and envelope:

Color Me Christmas Santa Flip Card

I had so much fun making the extended flip card a couple of days ago that I thought I’d show you another one!  This time I used the Color Me Christmas stamp and Very Merry Tags stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card.  My card design was inspired by The Paper Players #163, which is a challenge to create a clean and simple card for kids.  I think that my happy little Santa flip card fits that perfectly!

Here is a link back to Sandi MacIver’s video showing you how to use the Thinlits Dies to create a 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card with an extended panel:  Click here to view the video.  She gives you step-by-step instructions and measurements so make sure that you check out her video so you can see how easy it is to make the extended flip card.

I started by adhering a 1-7/8″ x 4″ panel of Season of Style DSP to the left side of a Cherry Cobbler card base.  Then I ran it through my Big Shot with the Circle Card Thinlits Die, just as Sandi shows in her video.  Next, I stamped the Santa image from the Color Me Christmas stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel, colored it with my Stampin’ Write Markers, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits die and adhered it to the circle flip on my card base with SNAIL.  It’s hard to see in the pictures, but I added a little bit of Dazzling Details to the white parts on Santa’s hat and coat.

Color Me Christmas 3

Then I embossed a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut three stars from Silver Glimmer Paper using the little star die in the Circle Card Thinlits Die set and I adhered them with SNAIL to the embossed panel.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Very Merry Tags stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, punched it out with the Petite Curly Label Punch and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to a 1″ Square Punch (I rounded the square corners with the 3/16″ Corner Punch).  I finished the card front by adhering the layered sentiment to the card front with SNAIL.

Color Me Christmas 2To complete the inside of the card, I stamped the Merry Little Christmas sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits die and adhered it to the back side of the flipped circle with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the image of the gift from the Color Me Christmas stamp set on a 3-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Whisper White card stock in StazOn Jet Black ink, colored it with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered the panel inside with SNAIL.
