Today I’m sharing two cards that I made for Freshly Made Sketches #81.  I used the watercolor stamping with embossing technique (you can see my tutorial here) and the Blooming With Kindness stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create the cards.

I followed the technique that I showed you in my tutorial except I added a little Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  I used the Summer Starfruit ink refill for this card:

I stamped the sentiment from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set in Summer Starfruit ink on a Whisper White Panel.  I layered a panel of Birds of a Feather DSP over the top and adhered it with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a strip of Summer Starfruit 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to the Whisper White panel with SNAIL, then I adhered the panel to the card base with SNAIL.

I used Summer Starfruit ink refill, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz and water to create my watercolor image.  I stamped the image on Whisper White card stock and let it dry completely (I used my heat tool to speed up the drying process).  I stamped the flower image a second time in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut it out with the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies and adhered it with SNAIL to a Summer Starfruit Window Frame that I’d pierced using the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercing Tool.  I adhered the layered panels to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I added two In Color Dahlias next to the sentiment using Glue Dots to adhere them.

I used Baja Breeze and Summer Starfruit ink refills and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz to create this image.  I added Baja Breeze 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon using Sticky Strip to adhere it and I stamped the sentiment in Baja Breeze ink.  I added three rhinestones next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

To finish both cards, I stamped the flower image again in Summer Starfruit ink on Whisper White card stock and I adhered the panel inside the card with SNAIL.

Introducing new wood-mount stamp set packaging from Stampin’ Up!  These new cases are similar to their clear-mount boxes and fit perfectly on the shelf right next to them.  They also have the images and stamp set name on the spine to make your search for the right set even easier.

Starting May 31 all wood-mount sets will come in this new packaging.  And empty cases will be available with the launch of the new catalog.  That means you can transfer all your old sets to these new boxes!  There will even be a template for you to create your own label for your old stamp sets (available May 31).  A pack of four half-size cases (3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″) will sell for $4.95 and a pack of four full-size cases (7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″) will be $6.95.
