Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Greetings of the Season and Post Card stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  Did you know that there are six holiday stamp sets currently available from Stampin’ Up?  Click here to see the list of sets that you can purchase throughout the entire year.  I’ve also put a link to the list on my right sidebar so you’ll be able to find it quickly when you need it.

The Paper Players had a challenge this week to make a Christmas in July card, so here is my first official holiday card for 2013.

I started by stamping the Post Card image in Baked Brown Sugar ink on a panel of Very Vanilla Core’dinations card stock.  I sponged the edges of the panel with Baked Brown Sugar ink then adhered it to a panel of Garden Green card stock with SNAIL.

Then I colored the sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on the Very Vanilla panel.

I wrapped Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around the two corners of the layered panel and attached it with SNAIL.  I tied a triple loop bow using the same ribbon and I adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I adhered the decorated panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the little postage stamp, I stamped the circle image from the Postage Collection hostess stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a panel of Very Vanilla Core’dinations card stock.  I colored the image with my Stampin’ Write markers, filling in the open top by adding dots of color to connect the two sides to create a wreath.  Then I stamped the square image from the Postage Collection stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink over the wreath image, then colored the wording on one of the stamps from the Postage Due stamp set and stamped that over the image as well (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement of both images).  I finished the stamp by punching it out with the Postage Stamp Punch, sponging the edges with Baked Brown Sugar ink and running the edge of my Garden Green Marker along the edge of the stamp.  I adhered the punch to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the Post Card image in Baked Brown Sugar ink on a Very Vanilla panel.  I sponged the edges with Baked Brown Sugar ink, then stamped the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.
