Magnificent Maple Thanksgiving Table & New Best of Snow Stamp Set From Stampin’ Up!

Happy Friday!  A lot of announcements from Stampin’ Up! today and some October ordering winners from me so make sure that you scroll all the way to the bottom of my post to see everything.  🙂

Sandi MacIver and I both have some fantastic Thanksgiving table items to share with you that we made with the Magnificent Maple stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I also added a few pieces from the Thankful Tablescape Simple Created Kit to complete my candle centerpiece.

Magnificent Maple

I purchased these candles and the small wreath at my local craft store for a few dollars and I thought that I’d do a little stamping on the candles to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece.

Magnificent Maple 1

Creating the candles was actually a really easy process.  Just stamp the Magnificent Maple images on white tissue paper, then cut the tissue paper to fit around your candle.  Put the stamped tissue paper around the candle and use your Heat Tool to melt the tissue paper into the wax.  It only takes a few minutes and you’ve got an awesome, on-of-a-kind candle!

Magnificent Maple 2

I wrapped pieces of the Birch Paper and Chocolate Chip Paper Ribbon from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit around the candles and adhered the bands together with Sticky Strip (but not to the candle so that you can slide the ribbon off if you decide to light your candles) in back.

Magnificent Maple 3

I also layered an acorn and leaf (both DSP pieces came from the kit) that I cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die over maple leaf from the Thankful Tablescape Kit.  I added a little bow from the Linen Thread, also included in the kit, and a Frosted Finishes Embellishment that I heat embossed with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder around the edges.  **Quick tip: just press your Frosted Finishes Embellishment gently into your VersaMark Pad, then sprinkle with your choice of Stampin’ Emboss Powder to make your own embellishment.  But make sure that you use a tweezer to hold the embellishment when you heat it, they become very hot!

Magnificent Maple 4

I also created some little table tents by heat embossing the Maple leaf image in Tangerine Tango on the Chalkboard Labels from the Thankful Tablescape Kit and adhering them to the precut Tangerine Tango cards also from the kit.  We do a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal at our house, I do a Prime Rib every year…if I have to take that much time to cook a meal, I want it to be something really good!

Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit

And I finished the table by creating name cards with the Journaling Cards, Chalkboard Labels and die cut leaves from the Thankful Tablescape Kit.  I wrote the on the Chalkboard Labels with the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker, which is also in the kit!

So have I talked you into purchasing the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit yet?  It has so many great pieces, I’ve used a lot of them and still have lots left.  The detailed list of items that I used to create my table items is at the very bottom of this post.

    • They are actually really simple. Just stamp on tissue paper, wrap it around the candle and use your heat tool to adhere the tissue paper to the candle. It took about 5 minutes! 🙂
