I used the new Starburst Sayings and matching Starburst Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #100 and the colors were inspired by Fab Friday 34.

I started by adhering three panels cut from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack to three Real Red panels, then to a Crumb Cake card base with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Starburst Sayings stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Coastal Cabana ink on a Whisper White panel and I cut it out with the matching Starburst Framelits Dies.

I adhered the die cut to a Circles Collection Framelits die cut from Real Red card stock with SNAIL, then a adhered a strand of Gold Baker’s Twine to the back of the die cut panel with tape.  I cut a panel of Real Red card stock with the Starburst Framelits die, then placed a Circle Collection Framelit inside the die cut and ran it back through the Big Shot to create the starburst frame.

I adhered the two die cuts to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (I cut them into small strips to adhere the frame), then wrapped the twine around the die cuts and tied a bow on the card front.  I rolled up a Glue Dot and placed it behind the bow to hold it a little more securely in place.

Then I stamped the small starburst image three times in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Gold Foil Sheets, sprinkled them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut the images out with the Starburst Framelits Die and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.

I finished the inside of the card by adhering a strip of Fresh Prints DSP Stack to a Crumb Cake card stock strip, then to a Whisper White panel.
