Mixed Metallic Mr. & Mrs. Cards & Stampin’ Up! Clearance Rack Updates

I mixed a little gold and silver embossing with the Mr. & Mrs. stamp from Stampin’ Up! to create two clean and simple wedding cards to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #69.

Mr. & Mrs. - Stamp With Amy KScreen Shot 2014-03-26 at 2.42.21 PMMr. & Mrs. 1 - Stamp With Amy KI started the gold framed card by stamping the image from the Mr. & Mrs. stamp (wood mount only) in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

Mr. & Mrs. 3 - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the image from the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark ink above and below the sentiment and I sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with the placement of the images around the sentiment.  I adhered the sentiment panel over a Gold Foil Sheet panel with SNAIL, then to a Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Mr. & Mrs. 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the same process only I switched the embossing colors and I added a Silver Foil Sheet background to create the silver framed card.

Best of Brides & Babies - Stamp With Amy K

Inside the gold framed card, I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I stamped the image from the Best of Brides & Babies stamp set (clear only) in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I used the same process, switching the embossing powders to complete the silver framed card interior.

  1. Very pretty! I’ve been thinking of entering the whole make-your-own-cards world, however, once I purchase all the supplies, I’m wondering what to do with all the cards? I can certainly send several to friends and family, but what to do with the rest? Do you sell your cards? If so, do you sell them online?

    • It’s so much fun Jacque! I actually give away all of the cards that I make. I have a huge family so many go to them and I send several to customers too. There are a lot of people who do sell cards online with good success…it’s just not something that I’ve done. 🙂
