Postage Due With Venetian Romance – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Postage Due and Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp sets along with a little Venetian Romance DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  My card design was inspired by Seize the Sketch #18.

Postage Due - Stamp With Amy K

Screen Shot 2014-04-25 at 4.30.18 PM I started by adhering two panels of Venetian Romance DSP (retiring) to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.  Then I wrapped a strip of Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (retiring) around the center of the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Postage Due 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored the large image from the Postage Due stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel.  I cut the image out with one of the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies and adhered it with SNAIL to a Soft Suede card stock oval that I’d cut with an Ovals Collection Framelits Die as well.  I adhered the layered oval to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Postage Due 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored the stamp image from the Postage Due stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink over the stamp image.  I punched the image out with the Postage Stamp Punch, trimmed just a bit off each side then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to a Postage Stamp Punch from Soft Suede card stock.  I adhered the layered punch to the card front with SNAIL.

Postage Due 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of Venetian Romance DSP to a strip of Soft Suede card stock, then to a Very Vanilla card stock panel on the inside of the card.  I also added another stamp image from the Postage Due stamp set that I’d punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch to finish the inside.

  1. Beautiful job coloring that huge stamp! I know that took some time and it looks wonderful 🙂 Don’t have this set, glad it escaped the retired list and I will still have the opportunity to get it. Thanks for the great idea!
