Work of Art Polka Dots – Stampin’ Up!

The Work of Art stamp set from Stampin’ Up! is quickly becoming one of my new favorites.  When I initially looked at it in the new catalog, I wasn’t all that wowed by it.  But I’m finding that I love the images and the great sentiments!

Work of Art - Stamp WIth Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #137.

I started by stamping the spot image from the Work of Art stamp set (available June 2) in Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding inks on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL, then to Crisp Cantaloupe card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Work of Art 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the paint splash image from the Work of Art stamp set in Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe inks on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Work of Art 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored the chevron image from the Work of Art stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the images since the stamp is smaller than the panel that I wanted to use.  Then I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again to help with placement for the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in StazOn Jet Black Ink over the Chevron images.

Work of Art 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the little heart image from the Work of Art stamp set in Strawberry Slush ink near the sentiment (used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again!), the adhered a Vintage Faceted Designer Button over the heart with a Glue Dot.  I tied a little bow from Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine (available June 2) and adhered it over the button with a rolled up Glue Dot.  I finished the card front by adhering the sentiment panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL, then adhering the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Work of Art 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the little dot image again on a Whisper White panel inside the card in Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding inks.

    • Thanks Jari, this set of In Colors is one of my very favorites (as you can probably tell by how much I use it). The stamp set is so much fun and so easy to use too! 🙂

  1. I have to agree with you too Amy. It hasn’t been a set that jumped out at me, but I’m really impressed with versatility I’m now beginning to see. You’ve made some great cards with it, so that helped open my eyes to the possibilities 🙂 Your card today is a great fun example of this terrific versatility. I love these colors too!

  2. This is just gorgeous Amy! I love all of those fun colours together and your faceted heart is a lovely touch! Thanks for joining us at Freshly made Sketches this week!
