Kinda Eclectic Thank You & New Photopolymer Stamp Set Plus Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and the new Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create a little thank you gift.  My card design was inspired by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #184 sketch.  Our theme this week is “back to school.”  I know this isn’t very school related but I thought a thank you card and gift card set would be perfect since I’m always in need of those for teachers/school bus drivers/teacher assistants!!

Kinda Eclectic With Gift Card Envelope - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch this week, be sure to stop by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog to see what the other design team members have created with this sketch too!

I started by cutting a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with the Finishing Touches Edgelits die.  I adhered a panel of Color Me Autumn DSP to the Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape around the layered panel.

Kinda Eclectic 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the layered panel to a larger panel of Color Me Autumn DSP, then to a panel of Cajun Craze card stock and finally to a Mossy Meadow card base with SNAIL.

I inked up the sun, leaf and butterfly images from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry inks, stamped them off on scrap paper once and stamped them on a Very Vanilla panel.

Kinda Eclectic 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set “full strength” in Soft Suede ink in the center of the panel then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Color Me Autumn DSP with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a little knot and adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Kinda Eclectic 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked and stamped off the butterfly image from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set before stamping it on a Very Vanilla panel.  I repeated that two additional times, then punched the butterflies out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two Pearl Basic Jewels to each butterfly to finish the card front.

Kinda Eclectic 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up and stamped off the leaf and butterfly images from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set again, then stamped them on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinits Dies 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies to create the gift card holder.  This die cuts and scores this cute little pocket.  All that you need to do is adhere one of the flaps and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the dots and a bit of Linen Thread or Baker’s Twine.

Then just tuck the gift card inside and tie it shut.  Quick and simple!  I stamped a sentiment from the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set on a Very Vanilla panel and cut it out with one of the tag dies from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies. Gift Card Envelopes & Trms Thinlits Dies 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched the end of the tag with the 1/8″ Circle Punch, tied a little Linen Thread through the punch and adhered it to the Gift Card Envelope with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  1. I am blown away by your card and gift card today!! I love the Kinda Eclectic set and you’ve made a gorgeous card today! The colors are beautiful, and the layout is divine, you really added just the right pizzazz with the stamped images:) your awesome layers are just right on this card (as ALL your layering is). Can you tell I’m case-ing ASAP! 😉

I haven’t gotten the gift card envelope die, yet, lol! But it is fast moving over to the “want list” to “gotta have list”. You know, the really really short list to the huge “gotta” list, heehee!
