I Like You Happy Birthday Wishes – Stampin’ Up!

I made a card with the I Like You hostess exclusive and Chalk Lines stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to share with you today.

I had a blast at the Stampin’ Up! retreat yesterday.  We stamped and laughed a ton…I’ll be posting some pictures soon!

I Like You - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #156.  As a little aside, I got to meet Linda Callahan from the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team this weekend at the Stampin’ Up! retreat.  Waving “hi” as I post this, have a safe flight home.  It was so fun to meet you!!  🙂

I started by stamping the arrow image from the Chalk Lines photopolymer stamp set down a panel of Color Me Autumn DSP in Mossy Meadow ink.  I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Pumpkin Pie card stock with SNAIL, then to a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I Like You 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the wavy line image from the Chalk Lines stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink on a Whisper White panel and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a strip of 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon with Fast Fuse adhesive to the card front.

I Like You 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the I Like You hostess exclusive stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the image with my Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers and I cut it out with an Ovals Collection Framelits Die.  I adhered the stamped die cut to an Ovals Collection Framelits die cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Petite Pairs - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set (available at a 20% discount through tomorrow!!) in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White panel.  I punched the sentiment out with the Large Oval Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a Scallop Oval Punch from Old Olive card stock.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with SNAIL, then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I’d colored with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker.

I Like You 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the inside panel of Whisper White with two other images from the I Like You stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink.

And for a little twist on the same card…

I Like You 4 - Stamp With Amy K

Stampin’ Up! announced this week that several of the Classic Stampin’ Up! ink pads won’t bleed when they are used to stamp the images before coloring them with the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.

I Like You 5 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image for the card on the left in Old Olive ink (the background arrows are also stamped in Old Olive ink and the card base is Old Olive) and I colored it with my Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.  It gives the same image a totally different look.  🙂

Here is the list of Stampin’ Up! Classic Inks that have been tested and can be used with the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers without having them bleed or smear:

Classic Stampin’ Pads
Always Artichoke
Baked Brown Sugar
Blushing Bride
Calypso Coral
Coastal Cabana
Crisp Cantaloupe
Crumb Cake
Crushed Curry
Daffodil Delight
Garden Green
Hello Honey
Marina Mist
Melon Mambo
Lost Lagoon
Old Olive
Pear Pizzazz
Pink Pirouette
Pistachio Pudding
Pool Party
Pumpkin Pie
Sahara Sand
Smoky Slate
So Saffron
Soft Sky
Tangelo Twist
Tangerine Tango
Tempting Turquoise
Wild Wasabi
Wisteria Wonder

***Quick tips:  Make sure that your images are completely dry before starting to color them.  Also, the colors not listed were tested but were found to be prone to bleeding and smearing, so only the colors on the list are recommended.  Definitely give the Classic Inks a try with your Blendabilities!

  1. Amy, this is so beautiful! Your coloring is wonderful. I have to confess that I’m totally green with envy that you and Linda got to hang out! Glad you had such fun and happy that you shared with us this week at FMS!

  2. Wow Amy! The Chalk Lines faux DSP, it’s exactly what I envisioned when getting that set, and haven’t done it yet though. You’ve made such a beautiful backdrop with the Color Me Autumn, given more depth. Your beautiful coloring of the flowering design with the blendies is phenomenal too 😉 Adding this to the case file!
