Stampin’ Up! Serene Silhouettes Ink Block Stamping & Holiday Supplement Is Here!

I used the Serene Silhouettes stamp set and my Stampin’ Up! Clear-Mount Blocks to create a cool background.  The technique is called Ink Block Stamping and I’ve created a quick photo tutorial showing you how I created the focal image.  You can see the tutorial here.

Serene Silhouettes - Stamp With Amy K

My card design is loosely based on the Pals Paper Arts 224 sketch.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday 52.

I started by inking the ink splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Tangelo Twist, stamping it off once on scrap paper, then stamping it on a panel of Tangelo Twist card stock.  I stamped the image three times in Tangelo Twist, then inked up the same image in Blackberry Bliss ink, stamped it off once, then stamped it on the panel.  I repeated the process with the Blackberry Bliss ink twice.

I wrapped a strand of Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  Then I used my Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Pierce Mat and the Essentials Paper Piercing Template pack and I pierce two rows of scallops on either side of the ribbon.  I adhered the pierced panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL, then to a Blackberry Bliss card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the image from the Serene Silhouette stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I used the Ink Block Stamping technique (you can see my tutorial here) to add Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss to the background of the image.  I let the image dry completely, then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

Serene Silhouettes 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Ink Block Stamping technique with Blackberry Bliss ink and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to create the background for the sentiment circles.  I stamped the sentiment from the A Round Array stamp set in StazOn Jet Black on the Blackberry Bliss panel and punched it out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch, then stamped the image again in StazOn Jet Black Ink on the Tuxedo Black panel and punched it out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch.  I adhered the circles together, then to the card front with SNAIL.

I pulled a few strands of the metallic silver from the Silver Bakers Twine, tucked them under the sentiment and adhered them with tape to the back of the stamped panel.  I also added one little Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment circles to finish the card front.

Serene Silhouettes 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used my Sponge Daubers to ink up the Serene Silhouettes image with Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss inks.  I stamped the image on a Whisper White panel, then adhered it inside the card.
