Stampin’ Up! CAS Wondrous Wreath With Layered Joy

I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and matching Wonderful Wreath Framelits dies to create my card to share today.

Wondrous Wreath - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by The Card Concept #23.  I chose to do a clean and simple card.

Screen Shot 2014-11-13 at 3.54.16 PMThe colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players #221.

Screen Shot 2014-11-13 at 3.56.08 PMI started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a Mossy Meadow card base with SNAIL.

Wondrous Wreath 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the full wreath image from the Wondrous Wreath photopolymer stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink, stamped it once on scrap paper, then on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I inked up the layering leaf image in Mossy Meadow ink and stamped it over the image on Very Vanilla card stock.

I stamped the berry image in VersaMark Ink over the wreath, sprinkled it with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I cut the wreath out with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a bow from Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon and I adhered it with a Glue Dot to the wreath.

Wondrous Wreath 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the sentiment with the Wonderful Wreath die from Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler card stocks and adhered them together with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with little pieces cut from Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Quick tips for the layered sentiment:  Be sure to place a piece of wax paper between the die and your card stock so that the sentiment pops right out after you’ve cut it.  When you’re adhering the layers together, place the die cuts on your Silicone Craft Sheet (you can find it on page 204 in the big catalog).  That way if any glue seeps out between the layers, it won’t stick to your work surface.

I stamped the sentiment and leaf images from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.  Then I added a few flowers in Cherry Cobbler ink to finish the card.

  1. Your wreath fits so perfectly in the embossed space, it even looks like a little door hanger right above it! Love the simplicity of the design and the Joy detail is awesome 🙂 As always the inside of your card is so cool Amy, I like the detail of the wreath leaves that just blow across the bottom with the pop of the flowers 😉
