Stampin’ Up! You Brighten My Day for Stamping and Blogging

I used the Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called You Brighten My Day for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week.  I love that this set coordinates with so many punches from the Annual Catalog!

You Brighten My Day - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB87 Sketch.

Screen Shot 2015-01-13 at 3.43.19 PM

I started by embossing a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Lost Lagoon card stock with SNAIL.

You Brighten My Day 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a banner with one of the Banners Framelits dies from Sweet Dreams DSP and I adhered it to the embossed panel with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Wonderful stamp set (Sale-A-Bration item) in Lost Lagoon ink on a Soft Sky panel and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch.  I adhered the punched sentiment to the back of a layered panel of Whisper White card stock and one of the sheets from the Sweet Dreams DSP pack, then I adhered the layered panels to the embossed panel with SNAIL.

You Brighten My Day 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the little houses from the You Brighten My Day stamp set in VersaMark Ink on Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey panels, sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I colored the windows and roof on each house with Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Markers, then punched them out with the What’s Up Punch.  I adhered the Lost Lagoon houses with SNAIL to the panel and the Hello Honey house with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You Brighten My Day 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied it through one of the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons.  I added a Glue Dot under the button to make sure that it stayed securely on the card front.  Then I adhered the layered panel to a Hello Honey card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You Brighten My Day 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp three little houses with the You Brighten My Day stamp set in Hello Honey ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. This is just the cutest, Amy! I love your rows of houses with the one different house! And to think that I almost didn’t get this stamp set…..It’s because of your generosity that I was able to put it into my order last night! I even switched some items I had originally wanted in order to get the What’s Up & Note Tag Punches. Yippee Skippee!

  2. Amy I absolutely adore this card, love the color combo, and those adorable little houses are perfect with the designer paper that you chose and your button and thread embellishment works perfectly.

  3. What a great idea, your houses are so cool grouped like that. Perfect dsp pick with the clouds 🙂 I love all the little details that you added to make your card so special Amy, it’s a treat to see what you come up with everyday!

  4. That’s it…..I am moving! Is the house next door to you for sale? I want to stamp with you at night while you create these wonderful cards! This is beyond adorable! Love it!
