Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics Wishes Your Way

I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set and some of the pretty Irresistibly Yours DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.

Butterfly Basics - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 380.

Screen Shot 2015-01-16 at 4.24.36 PMI started by sponging a panel of the Irresistibly Yours DSP (Sale-A-Bration item) with Pink Pirouette ink.  I adhered the sponged panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Pink Pirouette card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Butterfly Basics 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I sponged another panel from the Irresistibly Yours DSP with Wild Wasabi ink and I adhered it to a Whisper White panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the flower image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel, then colored it with my Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.

Butterfly Basics 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Pink Pirouette card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Wild Wasabi ink on a  strip of White Vellum and dried it with the low setting on my Heat Tool.  I adhered the vellum to the card front with two Glue Dots placed under the area where the butterflies would be attached.

Butterfly Basics 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the honey comb image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink on a Pink Pirouette card stock panel, punched it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  Then I stamped the small butterfly image from that stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink on a Whisper White panel, punched it out with Bitty Butterfly Punch and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the larger butterfly.  I added a rhinestone from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the butterfly to finish the card front.

Buttefly Basicis 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the line image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. What a gorgeous card! Love the soft colors and the stamping on vellum. Thanks for all the card stock cutting info, too. LOVE your work!

  2. Amy, this card is so very pretty!! It could be used for so many applications by simply changing the sentiment-get well, sympathy, anniversary, etc. Looking forward to all your inspirational posts in 2015! Happy New Year!!!

  3. What a gorgeous card you made! I agree with several other commenters, this is a great card to have extra sentiments to complete: get well, happy birthday, I’m sorry, or even you’re a great friend! Very versatile card and elegantly beautiful Amy 🙂 Love your extra details, that really makes your card super awesome!!

  4. Amy, you have a way with pink…I love every card you make with pink. This is a beautiful color combination and a classic layout. As a new demonstrator, I am extremely grateful that you include all the details because my early attempts at designing are painful and I need your examples to show my stamp club how beautiful Stampin’ Up! cards can be. THANKS!
