Stampin’ Up! Sea Street Happy Day Card

I used the Sea Street and Cheerful Critters stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.

Sea Street - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 178.

I started by inking up the little fish image from the Sea Street stamp set in Real Red ink, stamping it on scrap paper once, then stamping it on a panel of Best Year Ever DSP (Sale-A-Bration item).

Sea Street 2 - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the rope image from the Sea Street stamp set in Night of Navy along the edge of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered the stamped DSP panel to the Whisper White panel, then to a Night of Navy card base with SNAIL.

Sea Street 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a banner with the banner die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies set from the Maritime DSP pack, then snipped it in half and adhered the two halves to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the octopus image from the Sea Street stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits Die and adhered it with SNAIL to a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch from Night of Navy card stock.

Sea Street 1 - Stamp With Amy KI stamped the sentiment from the Cheerful Critters photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I cut it out with the end of the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies set.  I tucked a small piece of the Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (Sale-A-Bration item) under the sentiment, then stapled both to the layered circle with the Handheld Stapler.  I adhered the circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Best Year Ever DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I added a little strip of the Best Year Ever DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Super cute in every way! I really like your rope detail down the side too. The muted red fish are a nice soft touch.

  2. Amy this card is sooo cool!! The dsp here is perfect, we normally think sky or snow – but this really works for the ocean. Love your little fish, they are awe–some!! 😀 The rope detail on the side, I thought that was a piece of dsp you put there, it is such a crisp and clean image. I love all the details that you put into your card today, this is definitely a CASE card. Someday I’ll catch up on my “Amy CASE stash” lol 😉

  3. Normally I would say that an octopus on a card would not be my favorite thing, but this is pretty cool! You’ve really captured the look of an undersea world! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
