Hello from sunny Utah! I’m at the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Convention, I arrived a day early so that I could do a little shopping and a Stampin’ Up! tour before the event. Can’t wait for the tour, I’ll try to snap a few pictures so that I can share them with you later. 🙂
I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Sprinkles on Top to create my card for the Sketch and Stamp SB114 sketch challenge this week.
Here is the Sketch & Stamp SB114 sketch for the week. Be sure to stop by the Sketch & Stamp Blog to play along!
My card was also inspired by the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #6. I went across the top row: birthday, punch and twine.
I started by adhering a panel from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack to a panel of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then to a Cucumber Crush card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered another panel from the Cherry on Top DSP Stack to a panel of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then I trimmed the two panels at an angle across the top and left side and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.
I adhered a Metallic Foil Doily to the card front with SNAIL, then stamped the sentiment from the Sprinkles on Top stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock. I colored the candle image from the Sprinkles on Top stamp set with my Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped them next to the sentiment.
I adhered the sentiment strip to a strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then I punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch. I adhered the sentiment strip with SNAIL to the card front, then added a Bermuda Bay button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack that I’d pulled a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through.
I stamped the sentiment from the Sprinkles on Top stamp set in Cucumber Crush ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card. I stamped the birthday candles again under the sentiment to finish it.
Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
