Stampin’ Up! You’re Sublime for The Paper Players

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called You’re Sublime to create my card for The Paper Players theme challenge this week.

You're Sublime - Stamp With Amy K

Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members.  And be sure to play along too!  🙂  Here is the theme for PP258:

I started by cutting a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Striped Scallop Thinlits die.  I adhered the die cut to a Lost Lagoon card stock panel with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (available Sept 1), then adhered the layered panel to a Tangerine Tango card stock panel with SNAIL.

You're Sublime 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the layered panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then punched a strip of Tangerine Tango DSP from the Brights DSP Stack with the Banner Punch and adhered it over the card front with SNAIL.

You're Sublime 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the You’re Sublime stamp set in Basic Black Archival In (available Sept 1) on panels of Pool Party, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White card stock.  I punched the Pool Party image out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch.  I punched another 2-1/2″ Circle from Lost Lagoon card stock and ripped it in half.  I used my White Stampin’ Chalk and colored in the ripped edge on the card stock, then adhered it over the Pool Party circle.  I snipped around the crab image on the Tangerine Tango panel and around the eyes on the Whisper White panel and adhered the snipped images to the Pool Party circle with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

You're Sublime 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the Pool Party circle to a circle that I’d cut from Tangerine Tango card stock with a Circles Collection Framelits die cut with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Gold Basic Metal Button, tied a bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

You're Sublime 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Tangerine Tango DSP to a Whisper White panel, then adhered the Whisper White panel to a Tangerine Tango card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Oh my, this is soooooo stinkin’ cute! Love the look of the “water” you created with the die, and how can you resist that funky, fun little crab?! Great creation, Amy!

  2. I’m joining with the others to say that I absolutely love this: the tangerine color of the crab, the scallop die for the waves, the dot paper for the banner, it’s adorably cute! 🙂 Really would perk up someone’s day. Your work is always an inspiration! Thanks for all you do!

  3. This is the cutest card ever! I love your interpretation of the beach. It’s unique and playful and totally brilliant. I am so glad your shared your amazing card with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Smiles, Elizabeth

  5. Amy, I love the polka dots and that crab is hysterical. The open scallops are the perfect way to make waves. Great take on the challenge

  6. This is awesome! I love how you used the scallops for water! You’ve totally inspired me with a challenge I was stuck on that involved a photo inspiration with water! Thanks for playing with us at HSS this week:)

    • Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! Glad that my little scallops helped you out…I saw a card somewhere on Pinterest that had used the scallop die for waves and I stored that in my little memory banks for later use. 😉
