Stampin’ Up! Jolly Christmas Peace

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Jolly Christmas to create a clean and simple holiday card to share today.

Jolly Christmas - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #139.

I started by stamping the snowflake images from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in Soft Sky ink on a panel of Soft Sky card stock.  I dried the ink completely with my Heat Tool on the level 1 setting to make sure that the embossing powder would not stick to the panel in places where I didn’t want it to.

Jolly Christmas 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the deer image from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in VersaMark ink in the center of the panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I stamped the “on earth” sentiment from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set in Soft Sky ink under the deer image.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel from the Silver Foil Sheets with SNAIL, then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Jolly Christmas 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a panel from the Silver Foil Sheets one of the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies and I adhered it to the card front with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

***One quick tip for the Fine-Tip Glue Pen:  I’ve found that if I allow the glue about 30 seconds to start to “set” after applying the glue to the piece of card stock that I’d like to adhered, it works very well and holds almost instantly.  If I try to adhere the card stock right away after applying the glue, it wants to wiggle around a bit and it’s hard to keep it in place.

Jolly Christmas 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I added one of the Winter Wonderland Embellishments, using a Glue Dot to adhere it, to finish the card front.

Versatile Christmas - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the deer image from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in Soft Sky ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the sentiments from the Versatile Christmas stamp set in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them over the deer image.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel from the Silver Foil Sheets on the inside of the card.
