Stampin’ Up! White Wash Vintage Leaves

I used the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves stamp set with the white wash technique to create my card to share today.  I did a tutorial a long time ago about how to do this technique and you can see it on my tutorials page here.

Tin of Cards - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was very loosely inspired by Retrosketches #182.

The colors for my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #311.

And the theme for my card was inspired by TGIF Challenge #21.

I started by stamping the image from the Vintage Leaves photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on two panels of Crumb Cake card stock.  I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them, then cut one of the images out with the matching Leaflets Framelits die.

I used my Aqua Painter and Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Ink to “paint” the two leaf images (you can see more details in my white wash tutorial here) and I used the level 1 setting on my heat tool to dry the white wash ink.  I used my Blender Pen along with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler inks to color the two leaf images.

Vintage Leaves 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the scroll image from the Tin of Cards photopolymer stamp set along the edges of the Crumb Cake card stock panel, then stamped the sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink in the lower right corner.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL, then to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I curled the ends of the die cut leaf up just a bit, then adhered it with Glue Dots to the card front.  I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Crushed Curry button from the Regals Designer Buttons pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

Vintage Leaves 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the scroll image from the Tin of Cards stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock inside the card.  I added the leaf image from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink to finish the inside.
