Stampin’ Up! If the Broom Fits Happy Haunting

I used the Stampin’ Up! If the Broom Fits and Cheer All Year stamp sets to create my card to share today.

If the Broom Fits - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 418.

I started by stamping the spider images from the Cheer all Year photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Happy Haunting DSP.  I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine around it and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals

If the Broom Fits 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I covered the sentiment from the If the Broom Fits stamp set with a Post-It Note, inked the image with Basic Black Archival Ink, removed them Post-It Note, then stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I colored the images with my So Saffron, Tangelo Twist and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamped the sentiment from the Cheer All Year stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink under the brooms.

I punched the corners of the Very Vanilla stamped panel with the Project Life Corner Punch, then adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.  I stamped the spider image again in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a separate panel of Very Vanilla card stock, punched it out with the 1″ Circle Punch and adhered it to a circle that I’d cut from Basic Black card stock with one of the Circles Collection Framelits dies with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If the Broom Fits 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored a Rhinestone Basic Jewel with a black Sharpie Marker and I adhered it over the body of the spider on the circle punch to finish the card front.

I stamped the spider image up the side of a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. Excellent! Did not make a card for that challenge because I could not think of three items to place on the left that had not yet been overused. You really came through with this card. I really like the way you used these creepy spiders and the orange DSP is perfect. You have a natural talent for interpreting these sketches.

  2. Oh my goodness, those spiders!! They are so creepy 🙂 I wanted to hit my screen to kill them!! Seriously though, your card rocks this sketch! Love the way you multipurpose-d your stamps to have it all come together so wonderfully 😉 Way to go Amy!

  3. Amy, this is a great version of the sketch! Super fun card and those spiders give it the extra creep factor. Great job!
