Stampin’ Up! In The Meadow for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

I used the Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow stamp set to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created for it:

In The Meadow - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

Mar 17

I started by cutting an oval from a panel of scrap card stock with an Ovals Collection Framelits die.  I placed the oval over a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, securing it with Post-It Tape, then stamped the deer and flower images from the In The Meadow stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink inside the oval.

In The Meadow 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I painted the images with my Aqua Painter and Soft Suede, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz inks.  I let the images dry completely, then sponged a little Soft Suede ink around the edges of the oval before removing the scrap paper.

In The Meadow 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blooms stamp set in Soft Suede ink under the sponged image.  I adhered a strip from the Typeset Specialty DSP to a Basic Black card base then adhered the focal panel over it with SNAIL.

In The Meadow 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched leaves from Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Bird Builder Punch, trimmed the ends off and adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front.  I punched flowers from So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride card stocks with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch, adhered them with Glue Dots then added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of each flower to finish the card front.

In The Meadow 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the deer image from the In The Meadow stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamped it on scrap paper once then stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.

  1. What a super classy card! I love the bright pop of color the flowers bring, something for the deer to eat later, lol 😀 I’m warped when I’m low on sleep 😉

  2. Haven’t used this set, now I know I have to CAS yours. Beautiful card.
Prayers are with Sandi, if you have had word from her would you post an update.
Thanks and have a joy filled week-end.

    • Thanks so much Seletta! Sounds like Sandi’s surgery went well, they’re waiting on the pathology reports to determine the next steps. She’s at home with her husband and puppies. 🙂

  3. I love the softness of your card, the flowers add that extra special touch. It’s so sweet and Innocent. This set is on my list, I will definitely be ordering it real soon.

  4. Amy,

This is the prettiest card made with this stamp set that I have seen so far. You have amazing talent and I love this card.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Gloria

  5. I love the softness and elegance of this beautiful card. I really like how you did the shaded oval.
As usual, you are so creative and always manage to come up with the most gorgeous designs.

  6. Amy, I love the way you framed your oval, it is so lovely and the accent flowers are the perfect touch for the subtle colors in the card. Love the inside too.

  7. Peaceful card, Amy. I love it! That punch is probably the best one ever – it works with everything. (No deer to eat the flowers here, but we have a small herd of Javelinas who enjoy eating our Prickly Pear cacti.)
