Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes stamp set to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.  I borrowed a little inspiration from the Stampin’ Up! catalog for this one…the catalog has some fantastic projects in it!  🙂

Blooms & Wishes - Stamp With Amy K

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

June 16

I started by cutting an oval with one of the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies in the center of a panel of DSP from the Playful Palette DSP Stack.  I placed the panel on the front of a Sweet Sugarplum card base and used it as a guide to stamp the sentiment from the Blooms & Wishes photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the card base.  I removed the DSP panel, sprinkled the sentiment with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it, then adhered the die cut DSP panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue around the sentiment.

Blooms & Wishes 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower images from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set in Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugar Plum and Emerald Envy inks (some stamped off once) over one corner of a Very Vanilla card stock panel.  Then I cut the center of the panel with the next size up Layering Ovals Framelits Die.

Blooms & Wishes 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I ran SNAIL down the back of a strip of Blushing Bride 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon and adhered one end to the Very Vanilla card stock panel, scrunched it a little, then adhered the remainder around the edge of the panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.

Blooms & Wishes 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower images from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set in Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy inks on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.

  1. Amy, this is beautiful! I will have to get some of these new colors. They are striking.

  2. Such a pretty card. I love the soft look and what you did with the ribbon. By the way, I got the reset of my paper share–thanks!

  3. What a sweet little card, Amy! Love how you used the challenge colors and added all the elements to bling it up. And you make the “SNAIL the back and scrunch the ribbon” look easy! 🙂

  4. So pretty Amy, guess I missed that stamp set in the new catalog. It looks amazing with the window for the sentiment. Well done.
