I used the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves and Birthday Banners stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a fall themed birthday card to share with you today.  It’s finally starting to feel ever so slightly like fall in Atlanta…a little cooler at night and not so sticky hot during the day.  🙂

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #252.

And the button on my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP311.

I started by adhering a panel of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper to a panel from the Petals & Paisleys Speciality DSP with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Copper Foil Sheets with SNAIL and then to a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the images from the Vintage Leaves photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, sprinkled them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I sponged the edges of the leaves with Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks and then adhered them together and to the card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the banner from the Birthday Banners photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I placed the sentiment from the Birthday Banners stamp set on a clear block and curve it to match the curve of the banner.  I inked the sentiment in Old Olive ink (excluding the “!”) and stamped it on the banner.  I cut the banner out with the matching Bunch of Banners Framelits die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a Classy Designer Button and tied a bow.  I adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot to finish it.

I inked the leaf images from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks, stamped them on scrap paper and then stamped them on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.
