Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh Merry Christmas

I had some fun playing with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits dies and the Hang Your Stocking stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I love the way that this card turned out…hope that you do too!

The colors for my card were inspired by Merry Monday #212.

I started by cutting two trees from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and one from Whisper White card stock with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies.  I cut a deer from Basic Black card stock and the two sleigh pieces from Gold Foil Paper with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits Dies and I placed everything on a Thick Whisper White card base to determine the layout and spacing.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking photopolymer stamp set in the location that I wanted and then removed the die cuts and ran the card front through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  I adhered the three pine tree die cuts to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To create the snow on the ground, I cut another panel of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the top edge of the die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies, trimmed the edges to match the card front and adhered the die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I adhered the two sleigh die cut pieces together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.  I adhered the deer die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then threaded a strand of the gold baker’s twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio Pack under the deer and sleigh die cuts.  I tied a bow (probably a little too tightly!) to connect the two die cuts together.

I added a single gold enamel star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set in Basic Back ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered a tree that I’d cut with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits die from Whisper White card stock next to the sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock and then to the inside of the card with SNAIL.
