Stampin’ Up! Mountain Adventure Winter Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Adventure stamp set to create a fun winter themed holiday card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP323.

The colors for my card were inspired by Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 386.

And the masculine theme for my card was inspired by Merry Monday #224.

I started by adhering a panel of Presents & Pinecones DSP to a panel of Basic Gray card stock with SNAIL and then to a Mint Macaron card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the ski and snowboard stamps from the Mountain Adventure photopolymer stamp set slightly staggered on the same block and I stamped them in Soft Suede ink across a Soft Suede card stock panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.  I punched the end of a strip of Basic Gray card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Mountain Adventure stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper.  I cut the sentment out with a Layering Oval Framelits Die and then applied a light watercolor wash with my Aqua Painter and Mint Macron ink over it.  I let the image dry completely and then colored the mittens with my Mint Macaron and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers.  I adhered the sentiment panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I covered the lines on the top and bottom of the sentiment stamp from the Mountain Adventure stamp set with Post-It Notes and inked the stamp with Soft Suede ink.  I pulled off the Post-It Notes and stamped the sentiment on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the ski and snowboard images in Mint Macaron across the bottom of the panel to finish the inside of the card.

  1. I love how you used the skis and snowboard images to create your own background paper. That stamp set is calling my name even though I won’t have many occasions to use it … might have to break down and get it after all! 🙂 Love the sentiment – the mittens are darling.

  2. Wow Amy, you did it again! An awesome card and a 3fer 🙂 You ROCK!! I love everything about your card, my favorite, the snowboards and skis background is subtle yet so very effective pulling your eye into the colors and layers.

  3. Awesome card, love how you made the background with your stamps and the same stamped inside…perfect finishing touch! Thank you so much for sharing this at Merry Monday!

  4. I love the design on your stamped panel Amy and such a lovely sentiment too! I’ve resisted this stamp set, but cards like yours make me wish I’d bought it already! Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
