I used the Stampin’ Up! Builder Birdcage stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today. We’ve got a sketch challenge and this is what I created for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
The colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players PP331.
I started by stamping the images from the Builder Birdcage photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I sprinkled the images with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them. I did find it easier to stamp emboss the larger birdcage one piece at a time rather than trying to get everything lined up using just the VersaMark inked images.
I stamped the little bird images from the Builder Birdcage stamp set in Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride inks on the panel. I adhered a strip of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper to the right side of the panel and then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Copper Foil Sheets with SNAIL. I adhered the layered panel to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment on a strip of White Vellum in VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I punched the end of the sentiment strip with the Banner Triple Punch and then adhered it with rolled up Glue Dots (one under the sentiment and one under the enamel shape). I adhered a Blushing Bride enamel dot from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.
I stamped the images from the Builder Birdcage stamp set in Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
