Stampin’ Up! Sharing Sweet Thoughts for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using:

I started by adhering a panel from the Naturally Eclectic DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock and then to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Smoky Slate 1/2″ Gingham Ribbon around the panel and tied a small knot, then adhered the panel to a Peekaboo Peach card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the jar and butterfly images from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I used a little Soft Sky ink and an Aqua Painer to do a watercolor wash over the jar and I let it dry completely.  While the jar was drying, I stamped the butterfly image a second time on a panel of watercolor paper, colored it with Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers and I snipped it out with Paper Snips.  Once the jar image was dry, I colored the butterflies with Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers.

I stamped the jar lid from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set on the watercolor paper in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I used a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker to color the image and then went over it with an Aqua Painter to blend it a bit.  I cut the jar and lid images with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies and then adhered the jar and lid to the card front with Glue Dots and the single butterfly with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on the watercolor paper panel, then used Lemon Lime Twist and an Aqua Painter to add a little color.  I cut the sentiment out with a Bunch of Banners Framelits die and adhered it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added a Glitter Enamel Dot to the sentiment banner to finish it.

I stamped the butterfly images from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored them with Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers to finish the inside of the card.
