I used the Stampin’ Up! Flying Home stamp set from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I created for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a panel from the Bubbles & Fizz DSP (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 3) to a Bermuda Bay card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered a smaller panel from that DSP pack over the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I cut one of the Delicate White Doilies in half and adhered the pieces to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue so that there was about a 1″ gap between them. I stamped the image from the Flying Home stamp set (available Jan 3) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I colored it with the Light and Dark Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends Markers.
I colored over the background of the panel with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker and then the Color Lifter to lighten it a bit. I let the ink dry completely and then stamped the sentiment from the Fruit Basket photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 3) in Bermuda Bay ink on the panel. I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added a Calypso Coral enamel heart from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set (available Jan 3) in Bermuda Bay ink on a Whisper White card stock panel and then inked the birdhouse image from the Flying Home stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink, stamped it on scrap paper twice and then stamped it across the panel on the inside of the card.

What a beautiful card. I can’t think of a single bird who wouldn’t love living in one of those houses. The colors you used make me smile. Awesome job Amy.
