Stampin’ Up! Lots of Lavender Thank You Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Lots of Lavender stamp set from the upcoming Sale-a-bration Catalog and the Southern Serenade stamp set from the upcoming Occasions Catalog to create a quick thank you card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #318.

I did have a bit of a laugh with my friend Sandi MacIver who posted a very similar card yesterday for this same sketch challenge…neither of us knew that the other was make the card.  🙂  You can see her beautiful card on her blog post here.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  I adhered a strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon to the panel with Fast Fuse Adhesive, then adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the flower images from the Lots of Lavender photopolymer stamp set (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 3) in Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder (stamped on scrap paper once before stamping on the final panel), Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Southern Serenade (available Jan 3) stamp set in Basic Gray ink on the panel.

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a single gold enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the outline image from the Lots of Lavender stamp set in Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this project at the very bottom of this blog post.

  1. It’s almost like I haven’t even opened the catalog…thanks for opening my eyes to the Southern Serenade! That is funny that you and Sandi did almost the same card, miles apart. Both are beautiful.

  2. Pretty card Amy! I love how the texture on the embossed layer is a bit subtle. It pairs perfectly with the texture of the burlap ribbon. And the sprig of flowers is so pretty! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
