Stampin’ Up! Sure Do Love You for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sure Do Love You stamp set bundle to create my card for the Sunday Stamps color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for Sunday Stamps SSC171.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the other design team members created and to play along too!

The layout for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #369.

And my card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC032.  I went straight across the bottom.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders.  I adhered the embossed panel to another panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL and then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a heart with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Die and adhered it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I inked the banner from the Sure Do Love You stamp set in Calypso Coral ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to add a little Melon Mambo ink on the ends.  I stamped the banner image on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with the coordinating Lots to Love Box Framelits dies.  I adhered the die cut banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the heart.

I inked the branch image from the Sure Do Love You stamp set in Powder Pink ink and used the Sponge Dauber to add a little Melon Mambo ink around the edges.  I stamped it on Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with the matching Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.  I repeated that process four times (cleaning the stamp in between each inking to ensure that my Powder Pink ink pad didn’t get covered in Melon Mambo!) and adhered the die cut branches to the card front with Glue Dots.  I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the banner to finish the card front.

I inked the larger heart image from the Sure Do Love You stamp set in Powder Pink ink and sponged a tiny bit of Melon Mambo ink around the edges and then stamped it on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Amy I love your card. It’s so elegant. I really like the white on white with the Petal Pair Embossing folder and just a touch of color. Something else on my list. Might have to try doing a card like this.

  2. Very pretty and delicate. I can’t believe I still haven’t used my Sunshine Wishes yet. I love that heart die from it. With the color choices, I sure do wish I had ordered a particular DSP! Have a great day.

  3. Amy, this is such a lovely Valentine! I love the embossed background and the lovely gold foil heart. The flowers and sentiment are so pretty! SO glad you joined the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week! XX
