Stampin’ Up! CAS Truly Tailored Birthday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Truly Tailored stamp set and a little bit of the True Gentleman DSP to create my card to share with you today.

I did a Facebook Live video showing you how I stamped the sentiment with the Stamparatus and you can find the link to my video on YouTube below.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #324.

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #TTTC035.  I went diagonal from the upper left to the lower right.

I started by adhering a panel from the True Gentleman DSP to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL and then to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added strips of Soft Suede and Tranquil Tide card stock with SNAIL over the DSP panel.

I used my Stamparatus (available June 1) and Post It Note Tape to ink up and stamp the sentiment from the Truly Tailored stamp set.  I started by covering the top of the sentiment with Post It Note Tape and inking the bottom in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I put Post It Note Tape over the bottom part of the sentiment as well as the mustache and I inked the middle section in Tranquil Tide ink and stamped it again with the Stamparatus.  Finally, I covered the sentiment and inked and stamped the mustache in Soft Suede ink.

I cut the sentiment out with a Layering Ovals Framelits Die and then adhered it with SNAIL to an oval cut from Night of Navy card stock with another Layering Ovals Framelits Die.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through one of the True Gentleman Buttons and I tied a bow.  I adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.  I added the bowtie from the Truly Tailored stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink under it to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this card at the very bottom of this post.
