Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Double Door Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Barn Door stamp set bundle to create my card to share with you today.

The colors and the theme for my card were inspired by the Fusion Challenge photograph this week.

I started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Peekaboo Peach Baker’s Twine around it twice and tied a bow.  As I was tying the bow, I added in one of the Corrugated Elements.

I stamped the door image from the Barn Door stamp set twice in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Basic Black card stock, sprinkled the images with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I stamped the wreath and flower images from the Barn Door stamp set in Soft Suede (stamped off once), Peekaboo Peach, and Daffodil Delight inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers in those same colors to color the sign image from the Barn Door stamp set and I stamped it on Whisper White card stock.

I cut the images out with the coordinating Sliding Door Framelits Dies. I cut panels of Pear Pizzazz with the die from the Magical Mates Framelits Dies and Champagne Foil Sheets with the Sliding Door Framelits Dies and I adhered all of the pieces together and to the card front with Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue (for the door handles).  I cut a heart from Peekaboo Peach card stock with a die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and adhered it to the corrugated tag with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Barn Door stamp set in Basic Black ink on a Whisper White card stock panel.  I colored the wreath image with Soft Suede and Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it next to the sentiment to finish the inside of the card.

    • Thanks Mary…I struggled a bit with this one, I knew what I wanted it to look like but had a hard time getting it there! 🙂

  1. Okay, so now you are making me like Peekaboo Peach! I just adore the way you put everything together to make this card. I would never had known you struggled with it. The little heart on the tag melted mine!
