Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket stamp set and some of the pretty Springtime Foils Specialty DSP from the Sale-a-bration selections this year to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper Basket of Flowers challenge this week.

Here is the challenge badge for Stamp Ink Paper #143. Hope that you’ll stop by and play along with the challenge too!

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #377.

And the colors for my card were As You See It Challenge #172.

I started by inking a Sponge Brayer with Powder Pink ink and rolling it over a panel of the Springtime Foils DSP (Sale-a-bration item).  I continued to roll the ink over the paper until I was happy with the color.  Then I adhered the panel to the front of a Powder Pink card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Then I stamped the image from the Blossoming Basket stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Shimmery White card stock.  I heat embossed it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then used a Blender Pen to color the image with Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Tranquil Tide and Smoky Slate inks.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Copper Foil Sheets, wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around it, tied a bow and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Feather Together photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Powder Pink card stock, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the butterfly images from the Blossoming Basket Stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Shimmery White card stock, heat embossed them with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then snipped them out.  I adhered the two butterflies near the basket with Glue Dots and the one near the sentiment with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Powder Pink ink on a Whisper White card stock panel and then added two butterfly images from the Blossoming Basket stamp set in Basic Gray ink and colored them with Powder Pink and Flirty Flamingo inks and a Blender Pen.

  1. That basket looks stunning with almost any colour combo, but with the copper as an accent it really stands out. I love how you added the Powder Pink to the Springtime Foils by using the brayer. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at As You See It Challenge, Amy.

  2. Pairing up the challenge colours with copper was inspired, Amy. I love your colouring of the basket of flowers and the way you brayered the Spring Foils is so pretty and ties your design together. Thanks so much for joining us at As You See It this week.

  3. Amy, this is just beautiful! I love all the little details, the soft brayering and your adept coloring of this basket of posies! I think my favorite part is the little linen bow, though! So happy you were able to use our challenge colors this week! Thanks for playing!
