Stampin’ Up! Still Night Birthday Card

I used the awesome Still Night stamp set bundle and the Buffalo Check stamp from the upcoming 2018 Holiday Catalog to create a masculine birthday card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #350.

I stated by using a Sponge Brayer to add Crumb Cake ink to the Buffalo Check stamp (available Sept 5) and then used my Stamparatus to stamp the image on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  I repeated that process to make the image a little darker.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a strip of the Under the Mistletoe DSP to a strip of Shaded Spruce card stock and then to the larger panel with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread twice around the layered panel, tied a bow and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to an Early Espresso card base.  I cut a circle from the Galvanized Metallic Paper (available Sept 5) with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and then embossed it with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I cut a panel of Early Espresso card stock with the branch die from the Night Owl Thinlits Dies (available Sept 5) and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the embossed die cut circle.  I adhered the die cut circle to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.

I stamped the owl image from the Still Night stamp set (available Sept 5) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the image with my Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends as well as the Ivory and Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends and then cut the image out with the coordinating Night Owl Thinlits Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock, cut it out with the label die from the Night Owl Thinlits Dies and adhered it to the back of the owl die cut with SNAIL.  I adhered the owl to the card front with SNAIL to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Still Night stamp set in Early Espresso ink and then added the owl and branch images in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso (stamped on scrap paper first) to finish the inside of the card.
