Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles with Feathers & Frost Card & a Clearance Rack Refresh!!

Before I get started with my card project today…Stampin’ Up! did a refresh of the Clearance Rack and they’ve got Fast Fuse applicators and Refills available for half price while supplies last!!  I know that some of you love that adhesive so snap up those refills and all of the other deals on clearance while you can!!  Everything is only available while supplies last!

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Baubles stamp set bundle and the Feathers & Frost stamp set to create a clean and simple Christmas card to share with you today.  Jaimie Babarczy posted two cards with a similar ornament on her blog last week, her post inspired the ornament on my card today.  🙂

My card design was inspire by CAS Colours & Sketches #289.

I started by embossing a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from the Feathers & Frost photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on the panel and then I heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Because I’d used the Stamparatus, I was able to restamp the sentiment and emboss it a second time to ensure full coverage on the embossed panel.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Gold Foil Sheets with SNAIL and then to a Merry Merlot card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut panels of Shaded Spruce and Tranquil Tide card stocks with dies from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and, after trimming them down to the length needed, I adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a panel of Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper pack with one of the detailed ornament dies from the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies and adhered it to a 2-1/4″ Circle Punch from Gold Foil Sheets (it fits perfectly!!) with dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I snipped a small piece of Silver Foil Sheets for the ornament cap and adhered it with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the ornament die cut.

I cut a panel of Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper pack with the bow die from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies and adhered it to the ornament with a rolled up Glue Dot.  I adhered the ornament to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack to the center of each “x” on the ornament die cut.  I added a few Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets around the ornament to finish the card front.

I stamped the ornament image and sentiment from the Beautiful Baubles photopolymer stamp set in Sahara Sand and Merry Merlot inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. You’ve perfectly captured the idea of vintage elegance with that ornament! Thank you for sharing your festive card with us at CC&S! 🙂 I hope you’ll join us again soon for another challenge.

  2. A true labour of love. It must have taken you ages to add all those pearls. The ornament reminds me of the beaded covers that my mother used to make for her christmas ornaments. Thank you for joining us for this week’s CC&S challenge.

    • It really didn’t take much time at all! I have a tweezers that I use to lift and stick the pearls and it works great. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
