Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Snowfall Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set bundle and the Snow is Glistening stamp set that will be available November 1 to create a snowy Christmas card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 407.

I started by stamping the tree line image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Blueberry Bushel card stock.  Then I stamped the snowfall border image and the snow image from the Snow is Glistening photopolymer stamp set (available Nov 1) in VersaMark ink across the Blueberry Bushel card stock panel.  I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed them.

I cut a Whisper White card stock panel with the snow drift die from the In the Woods Framelits Dies and then stamped the sentiment from the Snow is Glistening stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on the panel.  I adhered the panel to the Blueberry Bushel stamped panel with SNAIL, then trimmed the edges so that they were even with the larger panel.  I adhered the stamped to panels to a panel of Blueberry Bushel card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around it.  I tied one of the Galvanized Buttons to the panel with the thread and then secured it with a Glue Dot on the back.  I adhered the layered panel to a Blueberry Bushel card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the larger tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Call Me Clover ink on a panel of Call Me Clover card stock and then cut it out with the coordinating In the Woods Framelits Die.  I stamped the snow image from the Snow is Glistening stamp set in VersaMark ink across the die cut tree, then sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I adhered the tree to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added one of the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes to the top of the tree to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Snow is Glistening stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink and the tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Call Me Clover ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  I topped the tree with another one of the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Beautiful card Amy! I wouldn’t normally pick these bright colors for Christmas but they are gorgeous together. Every detail is perfect. I may have to give this a try. I love this card, very creative.

    • Thanks Julie! These definitely aren’t my go-to colors for holiday cards either, but I think that they worked! 🙂
