Stampin’ Up! Cambridge Carols for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Cambridge Carols and Christmas Traditions stamp sets to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by stamping the large image from the Cambridge Carols stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I adhered the panel to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.

I adhered a panel from the Festive Farmhouse DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I used the largest oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits set to cut the center out of the layered panel.  In order to make sure that the oval didn’t move before I got it to the Big Shot, I use a little Post It Note Tape to hold it in place.

Once I’d removed the die cut oval, I wrapped a strand of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the top of the panel and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ DImensionals.

I punched the end of a strip of Basic Black card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and then stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Traditions photopolymer stamp set (exclusively available in the Christmas Traditions Punch Box) in VersaMark ink on the banner, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the banner to the card front with SNAIL and then added three Metallic Pearls around it.

I stamped the sentiment an ice skates images from the Cambridge Carols stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede inks on a Very Vanilla card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.
