Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala with Abstract Impressions for the Happy Inking Thursday and Happy Stampers Combined Blog Hop

We’re joining forces with the Happy Stampers for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop again this week!  I used the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog and the Abstract Impressions and Painted Harvest stamp sets to create my card for the Combined Blog Hop today.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

And here are the colors (I opted to only use the sketch this week):

I started by embossing a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  then I adhered a panel from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP to the panel with SNAIL.  I added a strand of Grapefruit Grove ribbon from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 3) around the seam between the two panels and I secured it with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Highland Heather card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set in Highland Heather ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut the panel with a Layering Circles Framelits Die.  I cut a panel of Highland Heather card stock with one of the Doily Builder Framelits Dies (available Jan 3) and then adhered the die cut circles together with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped four of the leaf images from the Painted Harvest photopolymer stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink on a panel of Soft Sea Foam card stock and then punched them out with the coordinating Leaf Punch.  I tucked the leaf punches under the sentiment circles and adhered them to the  card front with Glue Dots.

I stamped the butterfly images from the Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 3) in Smoky Slate and Grapefruit Gove inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then punched them out with the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch (available Jan 3).  I adhered the butterflies to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots and then added three Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins (available Jan 3) to finish the card front.

I stamped the leaf image from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink across two corners of a Whisper White card stock panel and then added two butterflies stamped with the Butterfly Gala stamp set and punched out with the Butterfly Duet Punch to finish the inside of the card.
