Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Romance for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I  used the Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Romance stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

I used the sketch from Fab Friday #155 for my card layout.  I know…I already used it once, but I wanted to show off this pretty vellum paper and thought that this sketch was perfect for it!  🙂

I started by adhering a panel from the Floral Romance Specialty DSP to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered a piece of the vellum from that pack with little touches of SNAIL hidden under the dark leaves over the card front.  I wrapped a strand of Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon around the card front and then tied a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Wonderful Romance stamp set in Fresh Fig ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock and then cut it out with one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the flower and leaf images from the Wonderful Romance stamp set in Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow inks on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock.  I colored the images with Light Mossy Meadow, Dark Petal Pink and Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut them out with the coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies.

I snipped off the stem end of the leaf die cut and then adhered the die cut flowers and leaves to the card front with Glue Dots.  I added three gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the leaf and flower images from the Wonderful Romance stamp set in Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored them as described above.  I stamped the dot image from the Wonderful Romance stamp set in Sahara Sand ink (stamped off once) several times over the floral images to finish the inside of the card.
