Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons Christmas Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Painted Seasons stamp set bundle and the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies to create my first Christmas card of the year!  Can’t get started on those too early. 🙂

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #376.

I started by stamping the pinecone image from the Painted Seasons stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then I adhered a panel of Early Espresso card stock to the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel with SNAIL and added a small panel of Painted Seasons DSP (Sale-a-bration item) with SNAIL over it.  I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.

***Quick Tip:  Use a Sponge Dauber inked with the same ink color to tap over the DisINKtive stamp to get a perfect image every time.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and then tied one of the True Gentleman Buttons to the card front with it.  I adhered the layered panel to an Early Espresso card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Champagne Foil Sheets with one of the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiments from the More Than Words photopolymer stamp set (available March 1) in Call Me Clover, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I added a pine cone in Crumb Cake ink next to the sentiment to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Love this card Amy 😊 Not quite ready for Christmas yet, but it’s perfect. I may have to CASE this one now before I forget. Love your colors.

    • Thanks Karen! I’m not ready for Christmas either…but I know that I’ll be scrambling to get my cards done on time. 🙂

  2. I already have started my Christmas cards…it’s never too early…it’s just too early for Christmas music and displays in the stores…lol. Your card is very unique. I love untraditional cards.

  3. Now that is just overachieving, lol! What a pretty card this is (and wow, you really are ahead). So glad to see you this week at FMS!
