Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake for the Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting

We had our team meeting yesterday and I actually remembered to snap a few pictures while we were eating and stamping!

Marylin H, Tammy, Linda, Shirley, Beth, Sue, Cindy, Barbara, Wayne (our unofficial supporting Demonstrator) and Mary D joined me in person and Deepa, Nancy, Karen F, Karen K, Marilyn W, Akiko, Susan and Mary A joined us online for the meeting.  We did lots of chatting ate some lunch and maybe a few chocolate chip cookies before we jumped into some stamping.  🙂

Here they are hard at work stamping the projects. 🙂

We made cards with Piece of Cake stamp set bundle.  The Cake Builder Punch has been out of stock and turned off for ordering for a bit, but it should be back in stock on Monday, March 18!  Yay!!  Here is one of the cards that we made.

The card design was inspired by the Inspire.Create.Challenge #038.

We started by embossing a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder and then adhering it to the front of a Coastal Cabana card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then we adhered a strip of How Sweet It Is DSP to a panel of Gorgeous Grape card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.

We cut circles from Whisper White card stock with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and then stamped the candles from the Piece of Cake photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the circles.  We colored the candles with Dark Pool Party and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends and then adhered the circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

We stamped the cake and cake plate images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored them with Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Pineapple Punch, Dark Pool Party and Highland Heather and Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Markers.  We punched the images out with the Cake Builder Punch.

We stamped the sentiment from the Piece of Cake stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink on a banner cut from Whisper White card stock with one of the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies and then adhered the stamped banner to a banner cut from Gorgeous Grape card stock with the same die.  We adhered the banners to the back of the cake punch and then adhered the cake punches to the card front with SNAIL.  We added a Glitter Enamel Dot next to the cake to finish the card front.

We stamped the inside of the card with sentiments from the Piece of Cake stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink and the candles in Tuxedo Black Memento ink (colored with Dark Highland Heather and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends) on a Whisper White panel to finish the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.
