Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake Wedding Card With Video Tutorial

I used the Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake stamp set bundle to create a wedding card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card out on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!  This is the second card that we made at our team meeting on Sunday.  🙂

My card design was inspired by SugarPea Mix It Up Challenge #53.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Lace Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel with SNAIL to a slightly larger panel of Whisper White card stock and then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut an oval from Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and adhered a length of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon with SNAIL to the back of the oval die cut.  I adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the cake image from the Piece of Cake photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and heat embossed it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I colored the flowers on my cake with the Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers and then punched the cake out with the Cake Builder Punch (should be back in stock on March 18!!).  I adhered the cake to the card front with SNAIL.  I punched a panel of Silver Foil Sheets with the Cake Builder Punch and adhered the cake plate to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Piece of Cake stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and heart from the Piece of Cake stamp set in Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

UPDATE FROM STAMPIN’ UP! ON DIE INVENTORY

Stampin’ Up! posted the following update late yesterday:

Due to complications with our die supplier, we’ve run out of the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies (item 148553) in North America and they will not be available in the future; this item will retire with the 2019 occasions catalog and because of these complications, we will not be able to replenish inventory on this item. If you placed an order for these dies while the item was on backorder, your order will be filled as soon as possible.

We anticipate our inventory may soon be depleted on a few additional dies that will retire with the current occasions catalog. The dies listed below will retire and will likely run out before the end of the catalog sales period.

If we sell out of these dies, they will no longer be available to order:

  • Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies (item 148529)
  • Rose Trellis Thinlits Dies (item 148549)
  • Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies (item 148548)

We are also concerned that we may run out of a few dies that will carry over into the new annual catalog. If this happens, they may go on backorder or may not be available to order until we are able to replenish the inventory.

We recognize that this is frustrating for you and apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. The last thing we want to do is disappoint our customers, so we are working on solutions to improve the situation with this product line.

***If you are wanting any of the three die sets listed, please order them very soon!  They are available while supplies last and I suspect that they will not last long.  Click the images below to find the bundles and die sets in my online store.

BUNNY BUILDER PUNCH IS NO LONGER ORDERABLE

Stampin Up! posted the following update about the Bunny Builder Punch today:

Sales for the Bunny Builder Punch (item 147039) have exceeded our forecast and our stock is now depleted. Once we receive additional inventory (at the end of April), we will fulfill all backorders. If you want to cancel a backordered Bunny Builder Punch that you’ve ordered through me, please let me know and I will contact Stampin’ Up! to cancel the item.

If you would like to be notified via email when this product is back in stock, please enter the item number on an order. You will receive a pop-up notification asking if you like to receive an email when it is again available for purchase.
