I used the Stampin’ Up! Piece of Cake stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
I started by embossing a panel of Pool Party card stock with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a slightly larger panel of Pool Party card stock with SNAIL. Then I cut three ovals from Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and I adhered the two outer ovals with SNAIL and the center oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card Pool Party panel.
I embossed a panel of White Vellum card stock with Subtle Embossing Folder and adhered it with a touch of SNAIL (hidden under the sentiment area). I tied a strand of Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine around the panel and then adhered the panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the cake images from the Piece of Cake photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used Light and Dark Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate Blends Combo Packs to color the images.
I punched the images out with the Cake Builder Punch and then adhered the pieces to the ovals with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies and adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.
I stamped the sentiments and candle image from the Piece of Cake stamp set in Pool Party and Tuxedo Black Memento inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I colored the candles with Dark Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends to finish the inside of the card.
