Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Congrats Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “masculine” theme and I’m featuring the Sailing Home stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog for graduation card.

My card design was inspired by the Fusion Sketch this week.

I started by adhering a panel from the Come Sail Away DSP (available June 4) to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a smaller panel from the Come Sail Away DSP to a smaller panel of Night of Navy card stock and then to the larger panel with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the smaller sailboat image from the Sailing Home stamp set (available June 4) in Night of Navy ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock.  I stamped the bird image from the Sailing Home stamp set in the same manner on the Balmy Blue card stock panel and then cut around the images with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  I adhered the die cut circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the larger sailboat image from the Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored it with the Light Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  I cut the image out with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies (available June 4) and then adhered it with SNAIL to the Balmy Blue circle.  I cut a panel of Night of Navy and Soft Suede card stocks with one of the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies and adhered them together and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a silver pearl from the Metallic Pearls pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then added the two sailboat images (stamped off once) in Balmy Blue ink on the panel to finish the inside of the card.

  1. I’m going to be showing this suite to my card group on Thursday. I was hoping for lots of ideas today and the blog hop did not disappoint. The DSP you used is my favorite in that pack.

  2. Beautiful graduation card, Amy! Love your nautical theme and fabulous take on the sketch! Thank you so much for playing along at Fusion!
