I used the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty and Rooted in Nature stamp sets to create a thinking of you card to share with you all today.

Did you know that $3 from the sale of each of the Nature’s Beauty stamp sets in the US goes to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness?  They are the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental health.  That’s pretty awesome!!

My card design was loosely inspired by Global Design Project #GDP212.

I started by inking the Birch stamp in Crumb Cake ink, stamping it on scrap paper and then stamping it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the panel.  I used the Stampratus because wanted to be able to restamp the image a few times to get good, solid coverage over the background stamp.

I adhered the stamped panel to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel three times and tied a bow.  I stamped the rabbit images from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the branch and grass images from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set around the bunny in Pear Pizzazz ink.

I colored the rabbit image with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers and a Dark Petal Pink Stampin Blends Marker (for the ear) and the grass with the Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I cut the image out with a Stitched Shapes die and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a single gold pearl from the Metallic Pearls pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the rabbit image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored it with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers, a Dark Petal Pink Stampin Blends Marker and a Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker to finish the inside of the card.
