Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season stamp set bundle to create a Christmas card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP465.  I saw as I was typing this up and linking to the challenge blog that I pretty much CASE’d the card Joanne Jones made without even realizing it. 🙂  Here is a link to her project.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Snowman Season photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel from the Let It Snow Specialty DSP pack.  I adhered the DSP panel to a Coastal Cabana card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered a wide band of Let It Snow DSP to a wide band of Real Red card stock and then the the card front with SNAIL.

I cut another panel of the Let It Snow DSP with the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to a panel of Shaded Spruce card stock with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the snowman, arms and hat images from the Snowman Season stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored them with Dark Pool Party, Light and Dark Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I punched the snowman pieces out with the Snowman Builder Punch and adhered them together with Glue Dots and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added one of the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots and two of the Shaded Spruce Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the  Snowman Season stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhered a strip of the Let It Snow DSP to finish the inside of the card.

  3. I was commenting on your card this week I remembered that I had seen your card in the gallery and clean forgot to comment – oops! I love that you and I were similarly inspired by Ann’s sketch – it’s not just me that happens to then! Of course, it goes without saying I love everything about your fun snowman card and we appreciate your continued support for the Paper Players challenge!
