Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella Friend Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set bundle called Under My Umbrella from the upcoming January-June 2020 Mini Catalog to create a sweet friend card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

I started by adhering a panel from the Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ DSP (available Jan 3) to a panel of Pretty Peacock card stock with SNAIL.  Then I adhered the layered panel to a Pretty Peacock card base with Stampin Dimensionals.  I punched the end of a panel of Purple Posy card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and then stamped the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 3) in Pretty Peacock ink on the banner.  I adhered the banner with SNAIL to the card front.

Then I cut a circle from Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I inked the raindrop image from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink, stamped on scrap paper and then stamped it on the die cut circle.  I repeated this process until the entire circle was stamped.  Then I adhered the die cut circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the umbrella and handle images from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake inks on panels of Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake card stocks and then punched them out with the coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch (available Jan 3).  I adhered the handle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the umbrella with Glue Dots.  I tied a bow from Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon (available Jan 3) and adhered it to the umbrella with a rolled up Glue Dot.  I added one of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones to finish the card front.

I stamped the rain boots image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored it with Light Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies needed to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.  I did change up the colors a little for the video tutorial, but the card stock cuts are all the same sizes.
