Stampin’ Up! Witty-Cisms Graduation Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Witty-Cisms and Seriously The Best stamp sets to create a graduation card for a young man who is graduating from high school this month.  It’s a little strange not being able to celebrate in person…but so glad that we can still send out hand made cards and gifts!

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Seriously The Best stamp set (retiring) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Stamparatus.  I restamped the image a second time and then moved the panel 3/4″ down the Stamparatus and stamped it two times in the same spot again in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.   I slid the Whisper White panel up 3/4″ and stamped the image one time in Tuxedo Black Memento ink so that it was slightly lighter than the first two images.

I repeated the process of sliding the card stock 3/4″ up, double stamping the sentiment and then sliding 3/4″ up and single stamping the sentiment in Basic Gray, Gray Granite and Real Red inks.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to a panel of Gray Granite card stock and finally to a Real Red card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the image from the Witty-Cisms stamp set (retiring) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored the cap with Light and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to a 2″ Circle Punch from Basic Black card stock.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Royal Peacock photopolymer stamp set (retiring) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I masked off the sentiment on the image from the Witty-Cisms stamp set and inked the cap in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamped it under the sentiment.  I colored the image with the Light and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies used to create this card, including the card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this blog post.

I’ve created a printable PDF with written instructions and a list of products used to create this card.  You can download, print and/or save it by clicking this image:
